Company Formation — Hong Kong Company
There are two ways of forming a limited company in Hong Kong: setting up a whole new company, or purchasing a ready-made company (a named shelf company).
For a whole new company you can specify your preferred company name, but the registration process takes relatively longer. For a ready-made company you select from our list of shelf company names, and the processing time is shorter.

Key requirements: a minimum of one shareholder and one director; directors and shareholders can be the same person; corporate shareholders and directors are allowed; the minimum subscribed share capital is HK$1; and the company name must not be the same as one already in the Companies Register. A company name can be in English only, Chinese only, or both.
